Stage Report - Day 3 - 7th January 2020

“My day started off in the worst possible way, my bike ground to a halt 200m off the start line. I quickly switched from the rear to the front fuel tanks and it seemed to work until 25km later when the bike stopped again. I started taking bits off the bike to look into what the problem was but it somehow seemed to fix itself, I tried starting it again and it fired up. I suspect that something was blocking the injector but with a few clear outs of the throttle the engine ate it and spat it out the other end.”

“By the time I had fixed that I was deep in amongst the cars and trucks, which was a nightmare. Every kilometre or two I’d have to pull over and let one past. Most of the stage itself was epic, really fun riding, but I ended up doing the last hour in the dark which is not an experience I’d like to repeat..”

Tomorrow's stage goes from Neom to Al Ula, with a 453km SS and a total distance of 676km.
